The pressure’s growing stronger as Trump scandals multiply
A major scandal every day it seems
And Trump was at the center in the laws he has defied
Surrounded by the crooks who were his team

Trump’s former co conspirators are either now in jail
Or waiting for their sentence from the court
And Trump keeps tweeting new excuses, all of which then fail
All full of falsehoods, frantic, wild retorts

It’s evident that Trump is worried, shaken to the core
It’s hard for him to think of matters else
As bad as things appear he knows tomorrow there’ll be more
He hates the hand he feels that fate has dealt

The things these scandals will reveal will force the House to act
High crimes and misdemeanors by the score
Impeachment by the House becomes reality in fact
Indictment of Trump’s family in store

It’s my opinion, though, that just before all this takes place
To Mueller Trump will offer up a plea
That he’ll resign as President for health, without disgrace
If Mueller let’s his family off free

The pieces of the puzzle have been falling into place
Michael Cohen’s plea of guilt
Trump’s involvement there was spilt
With the Russians Trump’s collusion
Helping them to spread confusion
These and many other facts are gathering apace

Indictment and impeachment are both staring Trump in face
Indictment while in office still
A Justice memo says it’s nil
Impeachment with conviction means
Removing Trump from office clean
No criminal conviction, leaving Trump off free with grace

But, then, you say, when Trump leaves office he could be indicted
He could, thereby, be convicted
Have his freedom thus restricted
But his Vice, then President,
By prearrangement evident,
Would then provide for Trump, his pal, the pardon they’d decided

The Constitution never meant for Presidents as crooks
To thwart its laws in mockery
And, thereby, getting off scot free
The Justice memo wrongly set
Indictment while still President
As not permitted. It must be removed from Justice books

Both Manafort’s and Cohen’s crime’s revealed for all to see
In memos filed by prosecutors, memos to the courts
Of New York’s Southern District and the District of DC
Although somewhat redacted, there was plenty to report

Manafort had lied about his many secret contacts
With Konstantine Kilimnik, in with Soviet intel
And contacts with the Trump elites, revealing Mueller’s facts
While faking his compliance with his sworn plea-bargained deal

With Mueller, Michael Cohen told of Soviet collusion
With Trump campaign officials starting back in year fifteen
Extending through elections, synergistic deep intrusion
Including Moscow Tower Trump; Trump kompromat is seen

The SDNY prosecutor wrote essentially
That Trump performed two felonies in telling Michael Cohen
To pay to hush his two sex partners so they wouldn’t be
Affecting his election, keeping all of us from knowing

Now Justice has a rule against indicting President’s
I find it inconsistent that a crooked candidate
Can break the law to help become the White House resident
And thereby be protected from becoming prison bate

Flynn’s sentencing memo was published tonight
By Mueller to aid as a sentencing guide
Informing the judge whether Flynn did alright
Recommending the jail time for Flynn to reside

The memo states how Flynn had broken the law
As well, the plea bargain to which he agreed
That he did cooperate, nary a flaw
Valuable info that met Mueller’s needs

Most of the memo released was redacted
On sensitive info of probes still ongoing
Explaining Flynn’s help and the way he had acted
The cable-news pundits were, thus, left unknowing

However, conclusions, a few, they did draw:
That Mueller’s not done – maybe six months or more
He’s also not worried that he’ll be withdrawn
There are still major players that he’s aiming for

I, too, have my theory of Mueller’s sly ploy
Knowing that Whitaker will read the memo
And tell it to Trump and his daughter and boys
I suspect it was written for Trump’s clan to know

Tic tock, tic tock
Unwinding further is the clock

As it turns out we got the word
On Rachel Maddow’s show we heard
The reason sanctions meant so much
Not just to Putin’s case as such
But also to the President
No Moscow tower built, it meant
Financing planned from Deutche Bank
Which, too, was sanctioned; that to thank
For halting funding in its tracks
Nor is it clear or known in fact
That Putin ever would approve
It was sly Putin’s clever move
To dangle there before Trump’s eyes
A tower Trump in Moscow’s sky’s
A master, Vlad, at kompromat
He hooked his fish, his man he caught
Since Trump so badly wants this tower
He’s largely under Putin’s power
And were this ever back home known
It’s out of office he’d be thrown
So Trump has done his lying best
To keep this secret from the rest
Of us, that is until this week
When Michael’s guilty plea revealed
Trump’s sordid secret; Cohen squealed

Tic tock, the mouse runs further down
Trump’s Presidency clock’s unwound

Tic tock, tic tock
Trump’s running down the clock
Tic tock, tic tock
His problems never stop

His lawyer, hit man, confident
Revealed the lies Trump didn’t want
The public ever all to know
The Russian deal he yearned for so
To build Trump Tower Moscow space
Negotiations taking place
While Trump campaigned for President
And Russia was not hesitant
To steal Emails and spread fake news
That favored Trump and right-wing views
Trump wanted this so badly that
He offered up a penthouse flat
A fifty million, Putin bribe
Which Putin deemed a little strange
To him was just like pocket change
Since he’s the richest man on Earth
Some unknown billions Putin’s worth
Nor would he ever so allow
A tower built within Moscow
That has Trump’s name in full display
It’s Putin’s name that wins the day
‘Twas ludicrousness to think he would
Meanwhile on Trump he’s got the goods

Tic tock, tic tock
The mouse refused to climb
Trump’s presidency clock
Is running out of time

The voting’s done and over now
You did quite well.
You only lost by near nine million votes
Your dwindling Party stuck by you
All true and red

Mister President
No matter that you lost
Some thirty nine or more seats
In the House
Two Senate seats you gained
And that’s what counts

Mister President
Elections are behind us now
For at least a year or two
No need, at least not yet,
To demonstrate your manliness
Tear-gassing little children
And their moms

Mister President
How clever you and Manafort
That he a double agent be
To spy on Mueller from within
Plea-bargained fake participant
A promised pardon in the deal

Mister President
No matter schemes nefarious
They manage all to bite you back
The end is not that far away
Your frantic lies won’t serve you well
And you do know the truth

Demos feeling their new strength
Thirty nine seats flipped and counting
House euphoric feelings mounting
Contemplating two years hence
While Republicans just fuss

Would be candidates deciding
Should I run or should I wait?
Must decide soon or loose out
Good staffing talent, there’s no doubt
Becomes more scarce in later dates
Success on early choices riding

Who will likely run this season?
Competition will be sound
Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden
Brooker, Avenatti, Warren
Barbara Boxer, Sherrod Brown
Others, too, will have their reasons

Harris, Swalwell and O’rourke
These, to mention but a few
Just who would be the best contender
Trump, a clear defeat to render
Lighting hope, our faith renewed?
The path we take has many forks

It is our habit in predicting
Future outcomes of such choices
To assume a future percept
Mirroring the current concept
Full ignoring extant forces
Often with the now conflicting

For example, not unlikely
Markets in securities
May have fallen through the floor
Trump’s touted trend would be no more
A new set of priorities
New problems to be handled rightly

So, statisticians have your fun
The standings of the candidates
Including those still undecided
Or intentions unconfined
Hardly will they correlate
With who will ultimately run

Refugees flee by the millions
From their war-torn Mid East homes

Towns burnt down and lives destroyed

Shelters are survivor filled

—–Every month a new disaster
—–CO2 fills more the air
—–Seems our leaders do not care
Starving children die in Yemen
Saudi ships blockade their ports
Thousands shot right here by crazies
Lunatics with power guns
—–We sell weapons to the Saudis
—–Woo the Prince who killed Khashoggi
—–Deep-six weapon legislation
—–Fight to kill gun regulation
We amidst turmoil are thankful
Most of us have been untouched
Living lives in happy fullness
Each pursuing private goals
—–Thankful for the fragile bubble
—–Shielding us from world troubles
—–Thankful, too, for movements yielding
—–Millions marching for world healing

The greatness of America
As Trump would have us all believe
As though he’s Ozymandias
The greatness he wants to achieve

America that’s never been
Where money trumps all values else
Where morals never make the scene
And honor’s traded in for wealth

The CIA has certified
Khashoggi was by Saudis murdered
And what’s more they’ve verified
‘Twas done on MBS’s order

But Trump refuses to acknowledge
CIA’s results as fact
Claims that sanctions would be folly
For the Prince’s heinous act

Trump touts Saudi hundred billions
We would lose retaliating
Jobs as well approaching millions
Saudi cash would be creating

What’s one murder among friends
Khashoggi of the fake-news Press
Trump’s means are justified by ends
I doubt he buys the claims he’s said

He knows that It’s just fifteen billion
Twenty thousand jobs, perhaps,
The max commitment they are willing
Getting more’s like shooting craps

Two things I venture to conjecture
Cynical where Trump’s concerned
Things explaining Trump’s behavior
From the gutter, I have learned

Trump is pushing Kushner’s plan
For Israel and Palestine
And also countering Iran
He needs the Saudi Prince behind

The second reason, I suspect:
Trump’s fledgling holdings in the region
Causing Trump to disrespect
Our nation’s values, true malfeasance
