Seven million marchers! We will never have a king.
Loud and clear this message came across.
To he who would, desiring such,
Your efforts won’t avail you much
You’ll find they’re always at a loss.
So being king will never be your thing

This time with Trump as President, ‘though difficult
May have been necessary, growth be done
Tear down an ailing entity
To build it back in purity
Taught in beginning philosophy, course one-o-one
It’s time to start rebuilding, mending faults

We see a future, post Trump time quite clear
Where laws have power, too, our Constitution
Where justice reigns for everyone
Our Court Supreme, when all’s said and done
Decides the legal issues of the nation
And children go to sleep full free of fear

Five million marchers, and likely more yet
This Saturday’s NO KINGS widespread demonstrations
Hundreds of cities and towns of the nation
Holding their own truly heart-felt events

This will, historically, likely be
The nation’s largest of demos to date
Its telling the President that it’s not his fate
To become our first king such that we’d not be free

And how to interpret this massive outpouring
Antipathy toward kings lies down deep in the soul
Of the nation. Let others take heed; we should not be their goal
We march with our spirits adjoining and soaring

Set free today, all the Hamas held hostages
President Trump played a positive role
He and the Egyptian Pres. traded messages
Freeing the hostages was their clear goal

There’s plenty of evidence Trump’s not all there
He cannot recall even major events
Without mixing names, dates, and what took place where
One often can’t fathom what he really meant

And so I gave credit for where credit is due
In such an inferior state that he’s in
To pull off the hostage release, the full queue
I say to Trump yay, yay; these kudos you’ve won

Depressing it is to watch government freeze
And nobody cares; seems they don’t give a hoot
Republicans act or don’t, Don Trump to please
While Dems. in perpetual state of can’t do.

So, what does it indicate, end of the day?
Our leaders are dead to the pain they inflict
The state of the country to them is okay
They stand by decisions, the ones that they picked

So what are we simple folks simply to do?
Stand by and let leadership lead not as well?
Time to stop letting them all of us screw
So shout to your Senators; raise lots of hell

Midnight it was there in Congress on high
All night trying to pass the year’s worst spending bill
But to no avail, votes enough just weren’t there
Appears some Republicans really were scared
That they’d lose constituents, bitter the pill
They’d then have to find a job. Oh my! Oh my!

%@Paul Krugman has labeled Trumpublicans “zombies”
Sadisticly taking food from starving kids
Denying health care from the sick and needy
To give themselves tax breaks, how gross, and how greedy
They’re knowingly, gleefully killing young kids
Eyes falsely blind they’re behaving as dummies

So, at Central Casting Trump is central actor
The show he puts on, full of faux pas and errors
Could full well be featured as Trump’s daily comedy
Gross lies and blunders there on put to melody
Except that his false words do cause widespread terror
Since they’re not an act, they are real, that’s the factor

This poelitic dates back several weeks ago
It never was finished nor posted nor published
Events taking precedence seen by reporters
Things more important to Trump’s base supporters
And now we are under a gov. total shutdown
With Trump leading zombies as government’s clown
