They say it will be close, November’s vote
I say not so
This time the land will slide
They say they’re very close, the nation’s polls
The polls are slow
Their data trails behind

Too fast the happenings, too fast the pace
Republicans now scared
The stump’s devoid of Trump
At Mar-A-Lago Club, he stays inside
He can’t abide
What’s happening outside

Am I too optimistic? I think not
The leaves of tea will tell
Where even Trump’s shenanigans
Each plot will fail
Our duo will prevail
