So where do we stand on impeachment these days?
Some hundred and twenty House Dems are on board
The number keeps growing and soon it may soar
Says Nadler such hearings are now underway
He filed a suit his subpoena to force
Of past White House counsel, the shy Don McGahn
Who’s claiming immunity; Trump’s total ban
Against all subpoenas. It’s clearly a farce
Impede and delay, that’s all that Trump does
Extending the hearings well into next year
Coinciding with Primaries; too much, I fear
Plus Trump’s wild divergences; people will close
To much that is happening, news overload
Trump won’t be impeached; there won’t be enough time
Mr. Public’s not there, ignorance reigns sublime
I can’t say, for elections, what all this might bode
