I know it’s something you’d not want to do
But put yourself, this once, in Don Trump’s shoes
You really want to honor loyalty
But those you’d choose don’t have abilities
Or knowledge for the job (they’re hardly best)
Or couldn’t pass the confirmation test
But then you’re stuck inviting to your side
The very candidates you can’t abide
There’d be no question that they’re qualified
But through the campaign, you they did deride
A real conundrum from which you can’t hide
As President Elect you must decide
Now wear the shoes someone anti Trump
Who railed against him out there on the stump
You’ve called him ugly names, which may be true
And he has done the same thing back to you
Then you receive a call from Trump to meet
To be considered for a Plum job sweet
A real conundrum from which you can’t hide
To go or not to go you must decide
